António Porém Pires is an interdisciplinary sound designer based in México with 20 years of working experience in a diverse range of mediums such as sound design and re-recording mixing for film, composition and music production or field recording and sound installations.
He has more than 100 credited films with exhibitions in numerous film festivals and museums around the world including Cannes, Berlim, Toronto, Locarno, San Sebastian, MoMA and Tate Modern.
Across the years he worked alongside various composers, such as Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Manel Cruz, Dead Combo and Bruno Pernadas, editing and mixing soundtracks for film and has collaborated with various authors and directors like Carlos Reygadas, Tiago Guedes, Ivo M. Ferreira, Sandro Aguilar, Rita Azevedo Gomes, Manuel Mozos, Salomé Lamas, Jorge Jácome, Alain Raoust, Eloy Enciso e Gabriel Mascaro.
