António Porém Pires is a Portuguese sound designer and re-recording mixer based in Mexico City. With 20 years of experience across film, music production, field recording, and sound installations, his work moves between technical precision and an intuitive approach to narrative and atmosphere.

He has over 140 credited films, presented at festivals and institutions around the world including Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Locarno, San Sebastián, MoMA, and Tate Modern.

Over the years, he has collaborated with filmmakers including Jonás Cuarón, Carlos Reygadas, Mariana Rondón, Marité Ugas, Tiago Guedes, Salomé Lamas, Ana Elena Tejera, Jorge Jácome, and Gabriel Mascaro, as well as composers such as Eli Keszler, Justin Melland, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Manel Cruz, Dead Combo, and Bruno Pernadas.
